Authorities Look after Couple’s Daughter, Neema, Amid Mamta Kafle’s Disappearance and Naresh’s Detention

Recently, the internet has been abuzz with the case of Mamta Kafle Bhatt’s disappearance. Her husband, Naresh Bhatt, has been taken into charge, and their daughter is now in the care of the authorities.

Mamta Kafle Bhatt, a pediatric nurse from Manassas Park, Virginia, has been missing since July 31, 2024.

According to police, she was last seen on July 27 at UVA Health Prince William Medical Center in Manassas.

The next day, she seemingly spoke with her friend, and on July 31, she was last seen by her husband.

Mamta Kafle’s Daughter, Neema, Is Safely in the Care of Authorities After the Incident

Recently, Mamta has been in the news due to her mysterious disappearance. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to uncover more details about the case.

She is a 28-year-old pediatric nurse originally from Kavre, Nepal. She moved to the U.S. in 2021 and worked at UVA Health Prince William Medical Center in Virginia.

Mamta is married to Naresh Bhatt, who is also from Nepal. They have a one-year-old daughter named Neema.

Mamta’s family still resides in Nepal, and she lived with a roommate in Fairfax County, Virginia, before her marriage.

Naresh, her husband, has been taken into custody and is considered a person of interest in her vanishing.

Additionally, the authority took away the couple’s daughter under a yellow blanket, who had been in his care.

She is now being looked after by a caregiver approved by the Department of Social Service.

Her social media profiles indicate she was active and engaged in her community until her disappearance.

Moreover, she shared beautiful photos of her family, including her husband and their daughter, celebrating various Nepali festivals.

Previously, Mamta mentioned on one of the social media pages named “Separated, Divorced, Single Moms of Virginia, Maryland and DC” that she was in the process of separation from her husband.

She begged help from other mothers in the area and posted:

“Hi, I have a 6-month-old baby, and I’m in the process of separation. I work 2 days a week, and my husband is not helping to take care of the baby. He is saying that if I leave the baby with him, he will send a child to custody. Is it possible? I need help for child care. I need help from social worker and need some advice.”

This adds another layer to the ongoing situation surrounding her disappearance and Naresh’s detention.
