Tennis Player, Li Tu First Met His Wife, Kimberly Tu At Sydney Airport!
Australian tennis player, Li Tu, a top ranked athlete in the sport is not only a successful sportsperson but also married to his best friend and his wife, Kimberly Tu.
After retiring from the sport in 2014, Tu made a comeback in 2020 after which he has been stronger in his play than ever before.
Recently, the pro-tennis player competed against the Spanish ace player, Carlos Alcaraz at the US Open 2024.
Although, Li was once somewhat overshadowed in the broad tennis scene, he is now gaining popularity for his intense game play with the Spanish ace in the match.
In addition to his career, Li enjoys a successful personal life and is happily married to his wife for almost two years.
Li and Kimberly Dated For A Significant Period Of Time Before They Married
Born on 27 May, 1996, Li Tu in Adelaide, Australia was born to Chinese immigrant parents.
Li and his long-time girlfriend, Kimberly had a classic romantic meet cute like in the romcom movies, where they first crossed paths while sitting at the gate in Sydney Airport.
The couple had also been a long-distance relationship for about five months which apparently brought them even closer.
However, Li returned home after an ATP Challenger Tour event in Chicago, excited for his wedding, the pair faced a crisis.
Due to Tu’s mother’s declining health, the couple moved up their wedding, and the ace player married his wife, Kimberly Tu on September 3, 2022.
Li expressed his happiness about his mother being able to attend his wedding in an interview saying:
It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life, where less than 20 people were at the wedding, and I got married to Kimberley, and my mom was there.
On December 21, 2021, Tu posted on Instagram, expressing his appreciation for his wife and sharing his love for his wife writing:
I am so grateful that our paths crossed sitting at a gate in Sydney Airport.
The couple frequently posts about their healthy relationship on social media, showcasing their happy marriage.
