Andra Day, an American singer, songwriter, and actress prominently rose to fame with the support of her family. To acknowledge their support, she even involves her sister in the Oscars.
Cassandra Monique Batie, known professionally as Andra Day, was born on December 30, 1984, and is an American R&B and soul singer.
She was raised in Edmonds, Washington by her parents before moving to Southern California at age three.
She grew up in Southeast San Diego, where she began singing at a young age, and finally released her debut album in 2015.
Andra Day also made her acting debut as Billie Holiday in The United States vs. Billie Holiday, winning a Golden Globe.
She is recently announced to star in Lee Daniels’ horror/thriller The Deliverance along with Omar Epps, and Glenn Close.

Andra also has a younger brother Joshua who seemed like the good child growing up and now restores antique furniture.
