A Former Democrat, Robert Telles, Lost His Bid for Re-Election after Jeff German’s Unflattering Disclosure!
Robert Telles was found guilty of the homicide of Jeff German, a Las Vegas investigative reporter. The democrat politician is sentenced to life in prison with the criteria of parole after a minimum of 20 years.
The 69-year-old Jeff German was discovered lifeless in the sideyard of his home in September 2022. A Clark County jury concluded that Robert was guilty on August 28, 2024.
Likewise, the jury concluded on Robert’s sentence, which could range from life in prison without parole to 50 years with parole eligibility after 20 years.
Robert had been behind bars since his arrest several days following the discovery of Jeff’s body on Labor Day weekend, 2022.

Robert Telles, a Democrat, lost in the primary election in May 2022 after some exclusive uncomplimentary news about him prevailed online.
He lost his bid for re-election after a longtime Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter, Jeff German, exclusively published an unflattering article about him in a Las Vegas paper.
The reporter wrote about the problems and bullying in the office where Robert worked as a Public Administrator in Clark County.
Likewise, the late reporter also revealed that Robert was allegedly in a romantic relationship with a female colleague.
This exclusive disclosure led to the fatal attack and defeated the chances of Robert winning the election.
The convicted politician had initiated his tenure as the Clark County Public Administrator in 2019. However, he lost in the primary election due to Jeff’s unflattering disclosure.
Jeff, who had extensive experience investigating and disclosing misconduct, wasn’t concerned about the consequences, including threatening messages.
Similarly, he brushed off Robert’s messages like always. However, on the other side, the Nevada politician filled with rag drove to Jeff’s home and took his life in broad daylight.
The executive editor of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Glenn Cook, after Robert’s tragic demise remembered him, saying
Let’s also remember that this community has lost much more than a trusted journalist. Jeff was a good man who left behind a family who loved him and friends who cherished him.
